General Manager of a livestock trading cooperative with its own transport fleet in the Bremen region.
We do not just transport a pallet from A to B but live animals, especially piglets. Given the major challenges that this type of work entails, including human transport, large numbers per trailer (sometimes 1,000 piglets on 4 floors) that all have to be counted and then after delivery to the purchasing farmer, the driver has to completely clean the trailer, which is strictly monitored by inspection bodies and at border controls.
In short: a job that not everyone is suited for and that not everyone wants to do. The driver must therefore have a specific certificate for the transport of live animals. As in the entire transport sector, we also struggled with personnel problems due to turnover, retirement and illness and given the special nature of our work, it was not easy to fill these vacancies again. Through an employee of ours who had already successfully worked with Top Trucker Jobs at his previous employer, we came into contact, conversation and business with them.
